WASHINGTON, DC – Today, U.S. Congressman Brian Babin (TX-36) issued the following statement in response to Russia’s unprovoked attacks on Ukraine:

“We are watching in real-time a world without strong American leadership,” said Babin. “After seeing how our Commander in Chief has responded to this widely predicted crisis thus far, we should all continue praying not only for Ukraine but for the future of our country, and frankly, the entire world. 

“Joe Biden is a sheep leading a nation of lions, and because of his weakness, America has never been in a more powerless position. Any student of history knows this is precisely what Alexander the Great warned about. Ukraine now bears the weight of liberal ineptitude from both the U.S. and the United Nations, and I pray deeply for their safety.

“The incompetence Americans have suffered through over the last year is now clearly spreading beyond our borders, and the world is watching.”
