ORANGE, TX – U.S. Congressman Brian Babin (TX-36) issued the following statement after presenting the Vidor Independent School District Police Department’s Honorary Captain, Weston Keisler, with an American flag that was flown over the U.S. Capitol in his honor, as well as a challenge coin. Weston is an 11-year-old boy who has been diagnosed with Giant Axonal Neuropathy – a terminal illness. He is one of only 68 in the world with this disease.

“Captain Weston is an inspiration to us all and a fine Southeast Texas lawman,” said Babin. “It was a great privilege to present him with an American flag, that I had flown over the U.S. Capitol in his honor, and a challenge coin.

“I’m proud to represent such an outstanding individual in the U.S. Congress. Our prayers are with you my friend.”
