Babin Announces Date for Lucas Lowe Memorial Post Office Dedication in Hardin

DAYTON, TX – Please join U.S. Congressman Brian Babin (TX-36), the U.S. Postal Service, and members of the Texas National Guard on Monday, December 16, 2019, for a ceremony to rename the Hardin, Texas Post Office in honor of Chief Warrant Officer II Lucas Maurice Lowe. Chief Lowe, a veteran with tours of duty in both Iraq and Afghanistan, tragically passed away on December 28, 2016, during a training flight with the Texas National Guard. This event is open to the general public, but an RSVP to BabinRSVP@mail.house.gov is requested.

About Chief Warrant Officer II Lucas Lowe: Lucas Lowe enlisted in the U.S. Army on July 6, 2004. He deployed to Afghanistan for 11 months in 2005-2006 and Iraq for 14 months in 2007-2008 as a Field Artillery Firefinder Radar Operator & Paratrooper for the 82nd Airborne Division. Lucas later attended Warrant Officer Candidate School in Fort Rucker, Alabama, where he graduated from flight school to become an AH-64 Apache Attack Helicopter Pilot. At the time of his passing, Lucas was assigned to the Texas National Guard’s 1st Battalion 149th Aviation Regiment 36th Infantry Division. Lucas is survived by his wife, Kami, and five children, Clayton, Lance, Alysen, Logan, and Tenley. He is dearly missed by his family and friends, brothers and sisters in uniform, and the neighbors in Liberty County he left behind.
