WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Brian Babin (TX-36) released the following statement in response to the rain and flooding that Tropical Depression Imelda is currently bringing to regions of Texas’s 36^th Congressional District.

“As Tropical Depression Imelda continues to pour down on areas in our district, I urge everyone to take the upmost precautions,” said Babin. “If you are able, local officials are advising everyone to shelter in place and stay off of roads and highways – as many of them are flooded or on their way to being impassable. Please stay tuned in to local weather stations and heed the advice of local officials. My prayers remain with you all throughout this time.”
