WASHINGTON, DC – Today, U.S. Congressman Brian Babin (TX-36) released the following statement calling for President Biden’s resignation, removal, or impeachment after the attacks in Kabul that resulted in the deaths and injuries of several American servicemembers:

“After five decades of being wrong on every significant matter of American foreign policy, Joe Biden’s incompetence and terrible judgment have crossed our nation, and the world, to the point of no return.

“What used to be the harmless gaffes and blunders of an unserious clown with no real power or influence has now led to the deaths and injuries of U.S. servicemembers, imperiled thousands of Americans and Afghan allies stuck in Kabul, and ignited a full-blown humanitarian crisis and hostage situation of historic proportions. It must stop.

“Biden has proven beyond any doubt that he’s not up to the job. He must resign, be removed under the 25th Amendment, or be impeached immediately. While I have serious concerns for his potential successor, America can no longer be at the mercy of Joe Biden as Commander-in-Chief.”
