WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Congressman Brian Babin (TX-36) released the following statement today after the Senate voted to acquit President Trump of both articles of impeachment.

“The Senate has reviewed the two impeachment articles and evidence sent from the House of Representatives, and after a year of wasted time and taxpayer dollars they have confirmed what we’ve known all along: President Trump is innocent,” said Babin.

“Today, the majority of my Senate colleagues voted to uphold the Constitution and finally close the dark door on this sham impeachment. Justice has prevailed. Now, let’s get back to the work of the American people.”
