Disaster Recovery Town Hall Meetings
As our community continues working to recover from Hurricane Harvey, we will be holding Disaster Recovery Town Hall Meetings with experts across the congressional district. These meetings are a chance for you to get your questions answered and hear directly from FEMA, SBA, USDA and other agencies about the assistance and resources available to you and your family. As we travel to communities to meet directly with flood victims and discuss how our office can assist (pictured below), we want to make sure that folks have the information and resources they need to fully recover and rebuild. These town hall meetings will be an important step in that direction.

What should I do if my FEMA claim got denied?
Every applicant has the right to appeal. Many people do get an initial denial from FEMA for a variety of reasons. We highly recommend that folks appeal the denial. Our staff is here to assist you in that process. While we can’t guarantee a reversal, we can make sure FEMA gives you full and fair treatment.
