Thank You For Your Service |
Independence Day serves as a reminder that freedom is not free, and that we must continually renew our nation’s commitment to serving those who suffer the scars of battle. As a former guardsman and Air Force officer, and as the father of a decorated Navy SEAL, I have a deep appreciation for the brave men and women who have served in defense of our nation.

Babin discussing VA accountability with veterans at Dayton Veterans Day celebration |
My prayers are with the loved ones of those serving, and for those whose loved ones did not return home. I am proud to represent the more than 50,000 veterans who call the 36th Congressional District of Texas home.
Thank you, veterans, for your service, defending the United States, and for the liberty you have secured for all to enjoy.

–A.W., Harris County
“During the process of requesting my father’s veterans medical records I was told that it would take 120 days to receive them. You made a few calls and the records were placed in the mail by the next day.”

It was an honor to present Army veteran, John Jerrell Nichols, Sr. (pictured) with medals for his service during World War II. When we heard that First Sergeant Nichols had earned these medals but never received them, we went to work to secure them for him.
