I had a great visit with many leaders in the space industry at Wednesday’s Bay Area Houston Economic Partnership (BAHEP) Aerospace Advisory Committee meeting.
I provided an update on critical space/aviation legislation currently being worked on in the House, reiterated my support for the International Space Station, and expressed the need for a U.S. Space Force presence locally.
No other place in the country serves a more critical role in space exploration than Houston. I will continue to advocate for this region and the companies who call it home and ensure America remains the global leader in space.

Last Monday, I participated in the ribbon cutting for the completion of the State Highway 146 Expansion Project in Seabrook.
After two decades of hard work, this long-awaited expressway will double the number of lanes connecting Seabrook to Kemah, alleviating traffic congestion and aiding in the movement of people and commerce along the SH-146 corridor. Not to mention expedite any subsequent hurricane evacuation.
Overall, this finished project will be a positive on every front!
