Ensuring Zero COVID-19 Relief Funds Go to Wuhan's Bio-agent Laboratory
For years, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) has sent U.S. tax dollars to Wuhan, China’s state-run bio-agent laboratory for dangerous and careless coronavirus research. President Trump announced he’s cutting those grants.

Last week, I proudly joined many colleagues urging leadership to ensure zero COVID-19 relief funds end up at this notorious lab.

 Congratulating TX-36 U.S. Air Force Academy Graduates
My hearty congratulations go to the five TX-36 2020 graduates of the U.S. Air Force Academy! Each year I'm honored to have a role in selecting our nation's future military leaders. I am proud of each of you as you begin your career in service to our great country. FLY – FIGHT – WIN!

L to R: 2nd Lt. Alexander Nguyen from Nassau Bay, 2nd Lt. Elizabeth Frakes from Clear Lake, 2nd Lt. Jordan Debranski from Orange, 2nd Lt. Khanh Nguyen from Pasadena, and 2nd Lt. Mariah Waters from Kountze.

2nd Lt. Alexander Nguyen will soon report to Dyess Air Force Base (AFB) in Abilene, TX, where he will perform temporary duties until he reports to Undergraduate Pilot Training.

2nd Lt. Elizabeth Frakes will serve as an Operations Research Analyst (61A) and plans to pursue a master's degree in Operations Research at the Air Force Institute of Technology at Wright-Patterson AFB in Ohio.

2nd Lt. Jordan Debranski will serve at the 98th Flying Training Squadron at the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado.

2nd Lt. Khanh Nguyen is one of the first Cadets in history to be commissioned into the U.S. Space Force and has been assigned to Vandenberg AFB in California to begin training as a Space Operator (13S).

2nd Lt. Mariah Waters was initially assigned to Grand Forks AFB in North Dakota to await Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA) Pilot Training; however, she has recently learned that she's been selected for a pilot slot and is awaiting further details on her new assignment.

The agreement on guidelines between Governor Abbott and the Texas Dental Association were finalized just in time!

FYI: TxDOT Closes Dam B Bridge
 The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) has closed the Highway 190 Dam B Bridge for repairs. All travelers will be rerouted to take Recreational Road 255 to the north. Drivers can also use Farm to Market Road 1013 to the south in order to cross the Neches River.
