We discussed the importance of our transportation sector's infrastructure in the Houston port region, supply chain resiliency, my work to secure Army Corps funding to avoid draft restrictions on the Houston Ship Channel, and the need to protect our infrastructure from potential security threats.

Last week, I toured Brenntag’s facility on Greens Bayou in Houston.
Brenntag is a global leader in chemical and ingredient distribution.
Much of the chlorine distributed from its Houston plant is used in industrial facilities or in the purification process for our entire region’s drinking water.
