I condemn the manner of George Floyd’s death. I do not, however, condemn all law enforcement because of the reprehensible actions of the few. I also refuse to capitulate to those who want to destroy or rewrite our past – good or bad.
Those who study history know that no country or government in the history of the world has given its citizens the freedoms we enjoy in America. No nation has ever gone to war with itself to ensure those freedoms apply to all its citizens.

| Babin's Statement on the House Passage of H.R. 2 |
The INVEST in America Act (H.R. 2) – passed in the House this week – was packed full of radical Green New Deal policies that I could never support. Overall, this bill fails to provide the funding and resources to the appropriate areas and programs to meet America’s infrastructure needs. This was merely another important bill that Democrats hijacked to push their socialist agenda.
However, I’m relieved to report at least one silver lining to this bill. Read more in my press release below.

| Democrats' New Lie to Take Down President Trump |
Democrats continue to display their willingness to fabricate outright lies in their never-ending effort to remove President Trump from office. This time, they’ve accused the President of ignoring “evidence” of Russians paying bounties to the Taliban to kill Americans in Afghanistan. The truth? President Trump was never briefed on any such intelligence because IF that information existed it never rose to his level. The New York Times and liberal media don’t check into the facts. They find a hook on any story or fragment of information that they can twist and spin – completely blowing it out of proportion – to make the President look bad.
In addition, it’s a totally hypocritical charge after Democrats and President Obama ignored the 600 American military personnel killed by Iranian IEDs in Iraq. Instead of holding this regime accountable, they opted to sign the disgraceful Iran Nuclear Deal that handed the largest sponsor of terrorism $150 billion in cash to continue their nuclear weapons program and evil operations.

With attempts to smuggle illicit drugs and humans into the U.S. happening daily, and an ongoing global pandemic, weakening our defense is not an option.
We need to build on the success of our brave border agents who work tirelessly to protect our nation’s sovereignty and citizens, and not allow any opportunity for dangerous cartels to take advantage of us along our border.

These elected officials are responsible for allowing this chaos to occur in the first place, and they should be held accountable.

| Chief Justice Roberts Continues to Disappoint Conservatives |
On Monday, Chief Justice John Roberts, appointed by President George W. Bush, joined with the liberal justices on the Supreme Court to strike down the Louisiana anti-abortion law by ruling it unconstitutional.
It was a sad day for Louisiana’s efforts to protect the most innocent among us – the unborn. Chief Justice Roberts has once again proven to be totally untrustworthy to stand up for the Constitution and rule of law.
We expect this from a Democrat-appointed Supreme Court justice, but it’s disgraceful to see this action from a Republican-appointed one.
Hopefully, President Trump will have more opportunities to make new nominations to SCOTUS.
