Honoring Lt. Abraham Schnitzer
Earlier this week, I recognized the military service and 100th birthday of WWII veteran Lt. Abraham Schnitzer.

Lt. Schnitzer, an officer in the U.S. Army Air Corps, was a navigator in the B-17 and B-24, flying more than 20 successful combat missions over Europe.

It’s always an incredible privilege to honor a member of the Greatest Generation.

Surveying the Wildfire Devastation
On Thursday, I saw firsthand the areas devastated by the Shearwood Creek wildfires that burnt almost 3,600 acres of timber, six homes, and several other structures.

It was an honor to meet volunteer firefighters from the Angelina River Volunteer Fire Department, plus countless other firefighters from volunteer agencies across the region, state, and country – there were even crews from Puerto Rico. I also visited with the Texas A&M Forest Service, who were on the fire line fighting these fires as they created firebreaks – many homes and potentially thousands of acres were saved due to their quick and heroic actions.

I continue to pray for those impacted by these fires and extend my heartfelt thanks to the brave men and women who put their lives in danger to prevent further destruction.

Supporting the Ban Offshore Abortion Tourism Act
The Left is so bent on killing babies that they’re creating a new workaround of the law to provide abortions on boats floating in federal waters.

I’ve joined Congressman Randy Weber (TX-14) in opposing this latest anti-life effort and will continue to fight for the unborn!

House Panel Wants Records on Jack Smith Deputy's White House Visits Before Trump Charges
“The House Judiciary Committee demanded… the Biden administration explain why a prosecutor working for special counsel Jack Smith visited the West Wing before former President Donald Trump’s indictment…”

I’m curious, also. The timing is suspect.

Operation Ceasefire
I’m proud to have stood alongside Beaumont Mayor Roy West and other local officials to acknowledge the tireless effort of so many dedicated law enforcement officers involved in Operation Ceasefire to get criminals and illegal guns off the streets of Beaumont – my hometown.

My support for law enforcement remains steadfast – congratulations to all the officers and agencies on a job well done!

Touring NRG's Cottonwood Plant
It was such a pleasure meeting with NRG employees and touring the Cottonwood Plant in Deweyville last week.
