Supreme Court Blocks President Obama’s Executive Amnesty

The Supreme Court’s decision to block the President’s executive amnesty actions is a major victory for the American people, the rule of law and the protection of the U.S. Constitution. I’ve been clear from the start that President Obama’s decision to unilaterally rewrite immigration law and grant amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants is in clear violation of the U.S. Constitution – and it makes a mockery of our laws and the balance of powers. The United States is a nation of immigrants, but we are also a nation of laws. I applaud the Supreme Court for restoring the rule of law and rejecting this unconstitutional and unlawful power grab by the President.
Babin: Democrat "Sit-In" Childish and Disrespectful to U.S. House and Constitution
The liberal House Democrats who are taking part in this ‘sit-in’ should be ashamed of themselves. Their childish antics and disrespect for the Constitutional rights of American citizens is absolutely disgraceful. Nothing they are proposing would have stopped the Orlando terrorist attack. It’s been revealed that nearly 95% of those on the ‘No-Fly List’ are non-citizens. If law enforcement has identified these non-citizens as a risk to the flying public, then they should be removed from the United States.

Guns are not the enemy, but rather American citizens are being killed by those subscribing to a radical Islamic ideology. Instead of staging publicity stunts hoping to score political points, they should join us in going after those who have declared war on American citizens and our way of life – Islamic jihadis. Let’s protect American citizens – not disarm them!
Babin: “Brexit” Represents a Strong Rejection of Open Borders
The people of the United Kingdom have spoken—and they have chosen a new path that strengthens and preserves their national sovereignty while rejecting the policies of open borders. This historic vote was fueled by the transformation occurring across the European Union with uncontrolled immigration, mass settlement of Middle East refugees and economic policies that put the UK on the hook for poor decisions made by their neighbors. This should serve as a wake-up call to those who are pushing similar open border policies in Washington.

Babin Questions EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy

To watch, please click here.
I questioned EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy about the agency's egregious overreach in preemptively and unfairly blocking the Pebble Mine development project in Alaska. Ms. McCarthy must be held accountable as its been uncovered EPA officials purposely put politics ahead of scientific data in its decision.
Snap-shot of the Week
It was great having our Congressional Art Competition winner, Skylar Thomas of Crosby High School, and her art teacher Alejandra Pena, in Washington, DC this week for the national awards ceremony. We are very proud to have Skylar's artwork represent the 36th District in the United States Capitol for an entire year.
