House Passes Senate Border Funding Bill |
The Democrat Majority was in disarray this week as Speaker Pelosi was forced to bring the Senate's emergency border funding bill to support our Border Patrol and ICE agents to the House floor for a vote. She only did so after more than 80 Republican members, including myself, formally requested it be brought to the floor of the House as well as dozens of members in her own party had made it known they intended to vote with us.
This bill was not perfect by a long shot, but we have come a long way from the days when the Democrat Majority was declaring that there was no crisis at all. Truly solving this problem means fixing the major loopholes in our immigration law that exist, and building more physical barriers like the new segments of border wall currently under construction. But right now, I am glad that our Border Patrol and ICE agents now have more resources to deal with the massive numbers of people that are pouring across our borders daily.
Democrats in Congress must put the safety and sovereignty of America FIRST instead of every illegal alien exploiting our guidelines or breaking our laws to remain in the country indefinitely.

Robert Mueller to Testify Before Congress |
Robert Mueller’s scheduled House testimony on July 17 will change NOTHING. His two-year probe is over and his 400-plus page report is public. This impeachment charade is driving the effectiveness of Congress into the ground! Congress is not spending time addressing REAL problems facing America because the Democrat Majority continues to waste it on these ridiculous investigations.

Early Morning on Fox and Friends First |
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi astonishingly said, “what’s the point?” when discussing internal enforcement of our immigration laws (such as identifying and deporting criminal illegal aliens who live in our cities) this week. It is shameful that the Democrat Majority continues to do almost nothing to address the border crisis. The Senate bill that passed the House is just the start - much more must be done. If we carry on without securing our southern border, at some point something has got to give – I just hope it is not our nation’s sovereignty.

Seizing the Opportunity |
I appreciate USA Today profiling our efforts last week to get the Democrat Majority and the mainstream media to take a break from their obsessive coverage of the Presidential Harassment Circus and focus on something that actually matters. As we speak, Border Patrol and other law enforcement agents on American soil are facing unprecedented exposure to disease and illness from waves of illegal immigrants pouring into our country from war-torn, third world nations. But these reporters all seemed to agree that a better use of their time was to sit in our hallway and stare at a closed door until they had the chance to chase Ms. Hicks, who left the Administration more than a year ago and now lives and works in Los Angeles, all the way to her car at the end of the day.
As long as House Judiciary Democrats keep wasting time and resources chasing baseless investigations, I will continue to seize the opportunity to push the agenda of the American people.

TSA Allows Criminal Aliens to Fly Without Proper ID |
On Wednesday, I joined The Daily Ledger on One America News Network to discuss concerning reports that TSA is allowing illegal aliens to fly without the proper identification required by U.S. law. It is imperative we know more about why these criminals are receiving special treatment, who is paying to transport them, where they are going, and more – that is why I joined my colleagues in sending a letter to Acting Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kevin McAleenan asking for more information. Follow the link to read our letter → https://bit.ly/2Lny2NR.

Mornings with Maria Bartiromo |
President Trump has repeatedly shown that America comes first in every deal or decision he has made during his tenure in office. I am confident that he is our best hope to make a beneficial and fair trade deal with China. Friday morning, I joined Mornings with Maria Bartiromo on Fox Business to discuss this and more!

Apollo 11 Mission Control Room Unveiling |
NASA's Johnson Space Center unveiled the newly refurbished Apollo 11 Mission Control Room on Friday as the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 Moon landing (July 20, 1969) approaches. It was a great privilege to be in attendance and take part in this special occasion.
Serving as the lead Republican on the House Space and Aeronautics Subcommittee has been one of my highest honors in Congress.
Thanks to the hard work of those involved in this huge undertaking, generations of students, space enthusiasts, and tourists will now be able to experience this extraordinary chapter of American history.

2019 Congressional Art Competition Winner |
I proudly welcomed Julian Lopez, a sophomore at Crosby High School, and his mother Veronica Vargas to Capitol Hill on Monday in honor of his first-place finish in the 2019 Congressional Art Competition.
Julian said he was inspired to grow in his art career by the chance to travel to Washington and meet other artists.
His amazing illustration - titled “Ocean Lurker” - will represent Texas’s 36th District on national display at the U.S. Capitol for an entire year!

Discussing the Southern Border with Trish Regan |
The Democrat agenda for open borders is ABUNDANTLY clear! I am proud that the President continues to stand strong, doing everything he can to address the crisis on our southern border. I am not sure what it will take to get Democrats to care enough about the AMERICAN people to fully get on board.
