Democrats Continue to Block Additional Funding for the Paycheck Protection Program
As predicted, the most critical program to ensuring small businesses survive this difficult time is officially out of money.

Republicans in Congress requested to add another $250 billion to this vital program more than a week ago but were blocked by Democrats who instead wanted to add all kinds of liberal pet programs for climate change, abortion, unionism, and open borders – which have NOTHING to do with the coronavirus pandemic except to make it worse.

Democrat leadership must come to the table and help hurting Americans during this pandemic and economic crisis. This is NOT the time for games – it’s the time for action.

 Speaking with TX-36 Residents
‪I was glad to connect with more than 10,000 TX-36 residents during Wednesday night’s Tele-Town Hall. My team and I helped to answer questions about the SBA’s loans and Paycheck Protection Program (PPP), holding China accountable, access to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), COVID-19 testing, filing for unemployment with the Texas Workforce Commission and more. Thanks to all who tuned in! ‬

Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Apollo 13
Friday marked fifty years since the crew of Apollo 13 safely returned to Earth after suffering a severe malfunction on its journey to the Moon in what would later be called NASA’s most “successful failure.”

Astronauts Jim Lovell, Jack Swigert, and Fred Haise (all pictured below) would not have survived the mission had it not been for the dedicated support of thousands of heroes on the ground working tirelessly to bring them home. Apollo 13 should always remind us of not only the potential dangers of space travel but also of what Americans are capable of accomplishing in the face of adversity.
Democrats Push for Illegals to Receive Stimulus Checks
To seriously say that illegal aliens – who aren't even supposed to be in the U.S. – should receive stimulus cash is absolutely ludicrous. How much more disrespectful can you be to the millions of hard-working, law-abiding American citizens hurting right now!

The President Negotiates Deal to End Saudi/Russian Oil War
President Donald Trump negotiated a deal with Saudi Arabia, Russia, and other world oil producers to limit their daily production after their damaging oil war resulted in a harmful overproduction.

Last week, I joined many of my colleagues in sending a letter to the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Mohammad bin Salman, urging him to work with President Trump to bring stability back to the global crude oil markets. I've also been requesting that the Administration make this happen as well. I'm proud to report that action was taken and thanks to the President’s outstanding negotiating skills and leadership, America has accomplished this task.

This is a huge deal for Texas and our district. It limits the excess production by the Saudis and Russians which has been really harming the energy sector of our economy and our district during a time when they're already being impacted by the ongoing health pandemic.

President Trump Rightly Halts Funding to the WHO
President Trump made the right decision to halt U.S. taxpayer funding to the World Health Organization (WHO) while a review is conducted. The WHO was dishonest and tried to cover up the spread of COVID-19, in the interest of China. These actions cost us many lives.

Sanctuary City Policies Continue to Endanger Americans
Disastrous “sanctuary city” policies are STILL allowing illegal criminal aliens to be released into our communities scot free. We have enough to worry about with COVID-19, yet some state and local officials willfully choose to continuously put Americans in grave danger.

Defending the Unborn
To say that killing an unborn baby is "life-sustaining" health care is beyond sickening. We must never stop fighting for those who cannot yet fight for themselves. It's our duty.

Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Apollo 13 (cont'd)
Whether dealing with a global pandemic, or an explosion of an oxygen tank more than 200,000 miles away from Earth, we have a remarkable tendency to unite around a problem, solve it, and move forward stronger than before.
“I have never lost an American in space, sure as hell aren’t going to lose one now. The crew is coming home. You got to believe it. Your team must believe it. And we must make it happen.” – Gene Kranz (pictured above on the right), Apollo 13 Flight Director
