Mueller Report = No Collusion |
I am pleased, but not at all surprised, that Special Counsel Mueller has concluded what President Trump has always said and any fair observer could see: there was absolutely no collusion or cooperation between the Trump Campaign and Russia in the 2016 Election. That historic election was won by President Trump and the votes of his supporters, and this report should put to rest any doubts or theories to the contrary.
It is time for Democrats in charge of the House to put their hatred and vitriol for President Trump aside and get to work on issues the American people actually care about now that they have been led astray for the last two years. The question on whether the President colluded with Russia has been answered, but the question of who all is responsible for starting this hoax remains a mystery - and it should not. Democrats and mainstream media whipped up lies, innuendo, and false stories about our President. Where is the justice for doing such a thing? What is it about the ninth Commandment that they do not understand: "Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor."

The Border Crisis Continues to Grow |
I joined Bulls & Bears on Fox Business to discuss the crisis on our southern border. Customs and Border Patrol anticipates apprehending a total of 100,000 immigrants this month – putting America’s illegal border crossings on pace to hit 1 million by the end of the year!
If our immigration facilities are allowed to collapse, America will lose its status as a sovereign nation. We must act now to secure our borders and fix the immigration crisis that is threatening the survival of our country.

President Trump's Veto Prevails |
Two weeks ago, President Trump used the authority given to him by Congress to appropriately declare the crisis on our southern border a national emergency. Unfortunately, every Democrat in the House and the Senate, as well as a number of Republicans, voted to overturn this Presidential declaration. In response, President Trump rightfully issued his first and only veto since taking office.
It is shameful that House Democrats and even a few Republicans attempted to override that veto this week. I am proud to have voted against these partisan ploys that undermined the White House, including Tuesday’s attempt to undo President Trump’s veto. By voting NO on these two measures, I voted FOR the safety and security of the American people. |
The Disastrous Green New Deal |
The Green New Deal is nothing short of a socialistic takeover of our energy, transportation, and agriculture industries that aims to change every aspect of our lives including how Americans eat, travel, stay warm, build our homes, and even what jobs we take. It will add trillions more to our already $22 trillion-plus national debt, destroy our economy, and transfer tremendous costs onto taxpayers.
This proposal lacks a basic understanding of economic principles and even our energy and infrastructure. Most importantly, the authors of this resolution fail to realize the love the American people share for their liberty and freedom. Our citizens will never stand for such a radical socialistic restructuring of the economy, and it must be strongly and emphatically rejected. |
Protecting America from Electromagnetic Pulses |
America must always keep up with the ever changing threats posed against us by our enemies. I applaud the President’s Executive Order issued on Tuesday to several federal agencies, including the Departments of Homeland Security, Defense, and Energy, to investigate the potential threats Electromagnetic Pulses (EMP) can have on our infrastructure and electric grids and devise ways to guard against them.
We have more petrochemical plants in TX-36 than any other Congressional district in the nation, so it is imperative we are aware of any future affects and dangers that EMP’s can have on various aspects of our country in order to maintain our national security.

Calling for the Resignation of Rep. Adam Schiff |
Given that the Mueller Report completely exonerates President Trump, it is shameful and indefensible for Congressman Adam Schiff to continue to mislead and lie to the American people. What information could he possibly know that Robert Mueller did not over the last two years?
He has abused his position, promoted an absolute false narrative for years, and in my opinion has lost all credibility to remain the Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee. For this reason, I am joining President Trump and many of my colleagues in calling for his resignation. Even his constituents in Hollywood can choose someone far better to represent them. |
Talking Sanctuary Cities with Liz MacDonald |
I joined the Evening Edit earlier this week to discuss the Ninth Circuit court ruling that the parents of Kate Steinle cannot sue San Francisco officials for their failure to report to ICE that the five-time deported illegal alien who murdered their daughter in 2015 had been released from jail just three months earlier.
It is disgraceful that some city officials continue to prioritize illegal criminal aliens over the safety of their own citizens. Sanctuary cities that obstruct federal immigration laws should not receive one taxpayer dollar in funding. Kate’s death and the hundreds more of Americans slain by illegal aliens could have been prevented if our borders were secured, catch and release loopholes were fixed, and city officials were forced to abide by immigration laws. It is tragic. |
Joe Biden: Decades of Being Wrong |
Former Vice President Joe Biden has been in the news a lot lately, along with the predictable narrative that he has a distinguished record on matters of foreign policy. But if you actually look at his record, you will see that the opposite is true.
As former Secretary of Defense Robert Gates said, “I think [biden] has been wrong on nearly every major foreign policy and national security issue over the past four decades.” I took to the House floor on Wednesday to address those who may believe Biden is the right man to lead our nation as President.

Trump Is Right: Our Border Is In Crisis, And Congress Is Ignoring It |
Great words from my friend and colleague Congressman Scott DesJarlais on why President Trump’s national emergency declaration is vital in order to secure our overwhelmed borders and protect the American people. Give it a read!
