Dear Friend, It is being reported that nearly 10,000 veterans in California are being forced to pay back their reenlistment bonuses ten years later due to staff error. This is absolutely unacceptable. These men and women courageously served our nation at war and they should be honored – not punished due to the incompetence of government officials in California. In a twisted irony, this is the same Administration that on one hand demands these American heroes pay back their bonuses while on the other it refuses to recoup bonuses paid to VA bureaucrats that have failed to properly care for our veterans. As a veteran myself and the father of a decorated U.S. Navy Seal, I am looking for ways to see that the bonuses paid to these veterans are honored and upheld. They answered the call to duty and it’s time we take a stand in support of them. Do you think these veterans should have to payback reenlistment bonuses due to staff error? Yes (_) No (_) To take the survey, click here. Sincerely, Brian Babin |
