Dear Friend,

Today, as we celebrate America's true heroes, please join me in remembering and honoring the tremendous sacrifices made by those who have courageously served in the U.S. military.

I’m looking forward to a very exciting day of events across the 36th District of Texas in celebration of Veterans Day.

We’ll be starting things off this morning at a Veterans Day Celebration at San Jacinto College – Central Campus, and then off to the 5th Annual Veterans Appreciation Luncheon in Dayton.

Next up, we'll be in Livingston for a meeting with local veterans at the Whistle Stop Café, and then off to an event at the Heritage Village in Woodville – where I’ll have the special privilege of presenting a local Vietnam veteran his Purple Heart 46 years later.

Lastly, we'll be in Lumberton for an evening event honoring our veterans at the Center for the Performing Arts.

To all of our veterans out there, a grateful nation says thank you for your service and sacrifice to our great nation. We owe you a debt of gratitude that can never be repaid.

Let us also remember and pray for those who are separated from their loved ones while serving in harm’s way overseas. We must never forget that freedom is not free.

As a veteran and the father of a former Navy SEAL, I’d like to wish a very Happy Veterans Day to all of those who have served and the wonderful families who support them.

Thank you and God Bless,
Brian Babin
