Dear Friend, Last night, by a bipartisan vote, the House passed legislation to keep the government running, fund the military and extend the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) for six years. Sadly, Senate Democrat Leader Chuck Schumer and his Democrat colleagues are blocking passage of this bill (demanding a supermajority that requires 9 Democrat votes) because it does not include amnesty. It is outrageous to me that Senate Democrats would shut down the government, jeopardize our military and compromise our national security because it does not include an immigration amnesty deal. Are you opposed to Senator Schumer’s plan to shut down the federal government because the funding bill does not include the DACA amnesty program? Yes (_) No (_) Thank you,
