Dear Friend,

Happy New Year - the new decade is officially underway! This year is going to be one of the most historic years our nation has ever seen, but let's take a look back at 2019.

Despite House Democrats' continued attempts to halt any progress that President Trump could make to better our nation and protect its people, he still managed to get so much done.

This past year, we saw the total number of new jobs created under President Trump surpass 6 million, the stock market break record after record, unemployment reach the lowest it's been in half a century, our military continue to be rebuilt, the House pass the USMCA (U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement) that will replace the outdated NAFTA, American forces kill the world’s number one terrorist leader (al-Baghdadi), Trump deliver a breakthrough trade deal with China, our nation rise to be the top energy producer world-wide, our country withdraw from the disastrous Iran Nuclear Deal, a significant reduction in illegal border crossings, construction of the Southern Border Wall, the President defend Israel and fight to end anti-Semitism, and much more!

All of this occurred while Democrats in the House of Representatives spent every second of their majority trying to take Trump down. Can you imagine how much more the President could have accomplished if it weren't for their never-ending witch hunt against him?

Although Democrats held Congress hostage this year, my staff and I continued fighting and working for you. I am proud to report that in 2019, 432 constituents were helped through casework, our office facilitated 309 U.S. Capitol tours, had 71 American flags flown over the U.S. Capitol, and responded to the letters, emails, and calls of 30,965 constituents.

I, and every member of my staff, always appreciate connecting, helping, and hearing from you. I am truly honored to have the opportunity to be your representative and voice in Washington, DC. As 2020 begins, please do not hesitate to contact one of my offices if you need assistance with VA benefits, the IRS, getting a passport, FEMA or hurricane recovery, finding out what federal grants are available for your project, or applying to a military service academy. We will help in any way we are able.

Happy New Year! I pray you and your family are blessed with a great start to the new decade.

Thank you and God bless,

Rep. Brian Babin
