WASHINGTON, DC – Today, U.S. Congressman Brian Babin (TX-36) released the following statement after voting no on President Biden’s Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (H.R. 3684):

“President Biden’s $1.2 trillion so-called infrastructure bill prioritizes his Green New Deal and socialist agenda over the true needs of the American people,” said Babin. “This bill spends billions on labor unions and electric vehicle chargers rather than on roads, bridges, and ports – real infrastructure – which will continue to crumble, shrinking our global competitiveness.

“At the end of the day, Democrats are draining the coffers at an unsustainable rate. Americans are taking home less of their hard-earned money as prices soar and inflation hits record highs. Spending trillions we don’t have will only add fuel to this growing fire.”
