NASA/Space

As the representative of NASA’s Johnson Space Center (JSC), I understand the importance of human spaceflight. Serving JSC, the people who work there, and their mission is a top priority of mine in Congress.

As Chairman of the House Space and Aeronautics Subcommittee, I have and will continue working to pass legislation to support NASA, ensure human spaceflight remains a prominent NASA objective, advance commercial space, and strengthen JSC.

I’m incredibly proud to have had a role in ending our reliance on Russia to get to the International Space Station. Once again, we’re launching American astronauts on American rockets from American soil.

Our investment in human spaceflight advances our technological development, promotes innovation, bolsters our competitiveness on the world stage, and contributes to a stronger economy. History proves the American entrepreneurial spirit can be propelled beyond our world into the final frontier. Great things are on the horizon!
